Tech Tip: Canvas Notification

I set up my preferences for Canvas notification earlier in the semester.  I found it very helpful in informing me on what is uploaded, changed, or graded in my class.  It is good reminder for me on what is due.  Since I don't always open D2L or Canvas 24/7, having notification sent to my email is  very good way to keep me on track.

  1. I also opted to have canvas notifications sent to my email, and I'm really glad I did! Sometimes I forget to check things, like announcements, so it's really nice getting alerted when a new one is posted. I also enjoy getting a daily report from canvas, which outlines everything that has been added or changed in all of my classes. I think canvas notifications really help me stay on track.

  2. I also have the email forward. I LOVE it. It comes in handy, especially when a professor posts that class is cancelled on canvas. I am able to just check my email and if anything important is on there, I can just go to the website and look at it. Sometimes I get emails for stupid things on canvas which is annoying but overall it is a nice feature.

  4. I have the announcements forwarded to my phone also. It really is helpful in staying on top of my assignments. I don't always have time to check canvas or d2l everyday so it really helps take the stress of maybe missing something away. I really like this feature and think it is one of the better parts of Canvas and use it all the time.
